I aggree with that entirely, but I am looking more for a case study, how well in general did the site do in the first month of business as well as second month.

first month - 1,
second - 3,

It also depends on the months you launch, twist/niche/style of the site, the content and the design.

You are asking how fast you can drive in a car. Depends on too many other things to give a simple answer other than the first month you should do half what you will do in the second month, all other things being equal.
