Sir Elton John plans to marry his long term-lover David Furnish in the New Year.

The couple, who have been together for 11 years, made the announcement after reports they were on the verge of breaking up.

The 57-year-old, who is 16 years older than Canadian film producer Furnish, said he wanted a secret, low-key ceremony

Ever since I saw that Tantrums and Tiaras thing I think David Furnish deserves all the money he ever gets from his association with him. I would have bitch slapped Elton back to the stone age within a week of the relationship.
