Please take a moment read about what I did today

I haven?t posted at all today and I thought some of you might be interested in what I did today. I have watched CNN since I got home and I have hardly seen it mentioned and I feel a duty to put that right.

A duty to the wonderful people I was with today and a duty to those back home that need to know people around the world care.

I wrote part of this as it happened so forgive me if it jumps about a bit. As it came to my mine I put it on paper.

I won't lie..it is long and because of that I put it on a webpage at:
http://www.digitalbuyingguide.com/today/

If you find you don't want to read anything that has a bit of length to it please atleast go to the photos page.
http://www.digitalbuyingguide.com/today/photos.html

I am posting this at two boards that I frequent. So,I am sorry if you see it twice.

Beautifil, girl..... it is amazing to me how very many this has hit and how many countries are mourning this tragedy, that alone brings a soft spot to anyone and a tear to any eye. Even our long time enemies have sent condolences......... it is so amazing to me.

Nice work woman. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/wink.gif

I went to journalism school and was editor of my high school paper. Just stopped when I moved here.

Anyway it was a long and very emotional day. I saved the program from the service and will give it to my sister when she has kids (I can't) so that they learn their history.

SJayne, that was a beautiful moving piece.

I feel it is important so I am bumping it.

What a beautiful and moving piece.

I too am an American, from NYC living abroad. I've learned of the true horrors from reading my sisters messages. She lives at the foot of the closed area and has been working at ground zero for the past 4 days serving the fireman. We both know many people who were in and around the WTC and the flights. I am saddened because I am the only American where I am. Reading messages and letters like yours bring comfort and inspiration.

I am heading back to NYC next week to volunteer with the relief efforts. My sister and I are gathering a collection of notes to deliver to the rescue workers and I would love to take some from all of you.

Please send messages to me at [email protected]

Include where you are from. I want to share with them the global support and admiration that everyone has for their efforts.

Elisha

Elisha...

Please feel free to print out that page and please pass it along to the workers. I am Sarah Jayne and I from Pennsylvania but living in London. Tell them we are so proud of them.

Where are you living?

*DialerGurl* 09-15-2001 06:52 PM

Hi Sarah,

I am living in the Canary Islands. I haven't met any Americans here. There's been no Religious services that I know of and I haven't seen much stop moving here since. I feel very isolated and can't wait to get back and be with my family to help.

I've spent a lot of time soliciting donations on the boards, but since no one replies, they've dropped out of site.

I'll be in London Monday nite and thats when I'll be able to start mourning along with the Americans. It's going to a long journey home, but I'm ready to go and help.

Nice to meet you.
Elisha

Elisha..

If you have a chance go to the Embassy to see the tributes. They are sad but they helped us mourn.

I have just thought about it and could you do me a favour and put four names on my attricle when you give it to the workers.

Sarah Jayne Anderson - Pennsylvania living in London
Marc Anderson - My husband London, UK

Megan Murray - Pennsylvania living in Herts, England
Pete Murray - Megan's Husband, Herts England

All four of us have mourned. Our husband's aren't American but half of their family members are American and Megan and I would not have made it through this week without them.

I hope you have a safe journey home http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/smile.gif

Sarah,

I do plan to spend the day on Tuesday in London doing just that.

I will definately add the names to the piece you wrote.

Thanks for the well wishes.
Elisha :0)

PS. Please pass my email address along to anyone who may want a message delivered. I don't care how long I have to sit at my printer.
