::Help:: Popup hell opening Free6.se
 

Ok, I need help removing this virus or trojan - don't know what it is just that I have someone's computer to fix and cleaning the registry of all sorts of stuff still didn't work.

It opens Free6.se and then a whole slew of pages.

Any help?

Helix, thanks but been fixing the computer for about 5 hours now between cleaning/deleting/removing - done all the googling I could - nothing works :)


Nicky - it pops up at 5 minute intervals right?

When I started online, I thought free6 was a legit site, guess it sold or he changed his outlook on the biz - his UCJ trades must benefit from it though.

No popups for me when I go to free6.se

natkejs - you're right, there's nothing there - but this trojan/virus or wtf it is, leads to free6.se - unfortunately for him, if it's not him, it does look like it (or someone has it in for him)
BTW, tried what he mentions still doesn't work :(

The other one from Helix - although I found an x.cab file, the computer didn't have the ied_s7m.cab


I finally got it to stop loading the page - although the popup still opens up. 6 hours & I'm fed up so he took the computer home but will bring it back :)

I'll actually try this Hijackthis when he gets back!
