So I test drove a 2002 Corvette yesterday..

The dealership can go FUCK THEM SELF

It had paint chips scratch marks..

rims hit the curb once or twice...

Carfax said it was "Noted as Black" Yet the Car is Quicksilver silver.

Sticker price was 29881.00

The sales guy said he could take 2,000.00 off The sticker but tax tag title = 29881.00

I got a written EST done with Both parents backing me up at the dealership.

Came back 20 mins later (the whole how long should we wait until we come back with an est? game)

Fucking they wanted 28401 + Tax Tag Title and a hidden 499.00 Dealer admininstration FEE WTF is this bullshit.

They can suck me a fuck me for a 02 that has 50k miles on it.

Steen2 11-13-2004 11:45 PM

I hope you enjoyed the drive..

Ok, what exactly does that mean? :1orglaugh

Car dealers are worse than porn peddlers.

The miles are far too high to consider in the first place.

Buy from private owners. My ex gf's dad got a 2 year old Corvette for a great price. The car was like new. Not a scratch, perfect interior.

Illicit 11-13-2004 11:58 PM

who wants a 2k2 anyway, it looks old already. wait till next year and get a 2k5.

erehwon 11-14-2004 12:53 AM

Buying new is nice, but seriously, the car depreciates like a brick flying out of a ten story building.

With the new 2005 Corvettes coming out, there will be plenty of older men and women who have babied their 2K2, 2K3 and 2K4 Vettes and want the latest and greatest Vette out there.

There are some incredible deals out there now, seriously find a older private seller, you will be much happier you did. :thumbsup

I know I have been looking past month or so =)

Are you set on buying a used Vette, I'll let you in on a secret if you can pay cash.

Buy a paper from your upscale part of town, and read the obituary page. Look for older men that have passed on leaving them with widowed wives and grown children.

A friendly call or visit days after the funeral can usually elicit if they might be interested in selling their late husband's car.

My neighbor, (a vulture in his own right) does this about every two years when he wants a new car, the bastard just scored a 2004 silver Cadillac Escalade ESV for $38K and its only got like 8900 miles on the thing. The widow knew it was worth more than what she sold it for, but it brought her too many memories about her late husband that she wanted it gone.

my neighbor just got a brand new 04 LS1 for $29k

he doesnt really fit in the car, and he never buys anything unless he basically steals it and knows he can turn a coin on it.

i know it must have been a rare find, but im just saying the deals are out there.

he got it from a dealer.

Dude one thing you need to learn right away is the attitude. if you ...Make the money, you have the great credit and or backing (Parent). Bro you csll the shots. ! you either be patient and look and wait till you find the diamond you want. or 2 you walk into the dealer find the vette you want and you put down the price you want to pay and or payments you want. control the deal at all times and make it seem like your fucken ballin. make it like " i ll just fucken go spend my money some where else fucker" attitude. It also doesnt hurt to have like 4 grnad in cahs in your pocket to flash like its pocket money.

If you're serious about buying a Vette I have a Mint Condition 50th Anniversary ZO6 I am thinking about selling. I bought it new and has been garage kept. It looks drives and still is LIKE BRAND SPANKING NEW!
2003 ZO6
12K miles
I'll take 39k for it.
Oh and if you're in Orlando I'm about an hour away from (Daytona Beach)

Cheers,
BV

Oh I forgot, if you are going to buy a vette make sure it is a Z06, don't settle for a woman vette!

Doctor Dre 11-14-2004 01:51 PM

It's impossible to find a good deal at a dealership
