Important news from GIB
 

Hello customers,

As you know, our US office and much of our dialer distribution servers are
located 2 blocks from ground zero of the WTC disaster. Everyone from GIB is
safe - although we had many close calls and are still in a complete state of
shock. (I boarded a train head for the WTC at 8:22 a.m. but thankfully was
evacuated after the first plane hit the towers) Never in my wildest
imagination would I ever think this could happen - NY looks like a war zone
from hell. We have been affected in so many ways - it is impossible to
fully describe.

Regarding our current situation with our dialers -
The power has been shut down in lower Manhattan so our distribution servers
in NY cannot be accessed and we are not allowed to get into the building.
With tremendous help from AT&T we have also re-routed our USA calls away
from our server in downtown NYC to another location in a different part of
the country. Furthermore, the ISP in NYC that served dialers out of NY has
also completely gone down at this point. Our building did not sustain
structural damage and is sadly being used as a makeshift morgue due to the
fact it is so close ot ground zero and is not in danger of collapsing.

We have been working day and night to come up with a solution which does not
rely on any equipment in NY - this has been completed.

All VIPDIALER and GIB customers should be using this link - the others links will NOT WORK
PROPERLY.

Customers should use this link, download the .exe and host it themsleves
that is also fine.

GIB? Do you know Dan Bastone? He's a personal friend, and we haven't heard from him. Just wondering if maybe you could let me know if he's ok. If not please tell him that Joe, Jason and Lisa have been trying to get hold of him. We weren't too worried...he's only been into the office once or twice in the past year. Thanks.

mailman, Snow is just replying due to all the people that are asking 'WTF is up' with the dailer downloads. No one had any idea that it was due to the main server being down 2 blocks from WTC. I've been having trouble with my link for some time - so I did not associate it with the disaster. We know now, though. I can't believe you guys got it back up so fast - good job.

As to dan he is still alive and kicking and one of the most talented people i know.. Gib was able to move quickly and get theings working again...

It's amazing when tragedy hits how people pull together.. Yes guys this is the new exe.. You can host it or use the link... It works great its generic and has all the niches inside..

Cant get picky with banners right now until these guys are settled..

Dan is alive and well - he has not slept for days trying to get the system back up and 100%. I will have to have a beer with if/when we can get back to normal life in NY.

We all thank god we are still alive.
