Ray@TastyDollars 11-13-2004 06:43 PM

After a good 20min blast with my chipped Audi It glows as well. Allot of hot exhaust goes threw them turbines!

i love boost.

Dynamix 11-13-2004 06:51 PM

LOL that happened to me one night with my Trans Am.

Lost any power in 1st gear so I pulled over and popped the hood and the super was glowing bright orange. I ran like hell, thought the damn thing was gonna explode :1orglaugh

Morgan 11-13-2004 06:52 PM

Jesus, I hope the turbo on my EVO never gets that hot!

fuzebox 11-13-2004 06:53 PM

I have a permanent scar from sticking my arm through one of the spokes in my wheel to tight up a swaybar link...

Brake rotors get hot, even from normal driving.

Furious_Male 11-13-2004 06:53 PM

I prefer the boost from my Super Charger.

I wouldnt want anything hot under the hood of my car but it looks cool on the stand.

nah.. i honestly thought it was an NSX motor at first too, but my good friend joe pointed out its RWD setup, and even though the NSX is rwd, it uses a fwd setup (because the engine is in the rear)

actually that engine is a ford engine.. ill find the link to the story for ya.. hold on

fuzebox 11-13-2004 09:34 PM

I've never seen mine glowing, any time I've popped my hood at night I've checked, but everything was under heat shields and thermal wrap.

Yeah. because other than a turbo, every other component of an engine stays ice cold! :Graucho

Vitasoy 11-14-2004 12:16 AM

Damn very cool pic. Looks like the metal is going to melt. :D

brizzad 11-14-2004 12:26 AM

Fuck, that is awesome. I can't beleive how it got so hot. I would expect the turbo to seize up before it got that hot. Very nice. :thumbsup

infecto 11-14-2004 09:10 AM

Its not just the turbo, the majority of the heat is coming from the exhaust manifold......
