Anyone here have a T1?
Is it more reliable than cable or DSL?
All I can get is fucking cable in my new house, and the service sucks.. thinking it might be worth the $400 a month for a T1. |
I pay $15 for 100 mbps premium
|
We have a few residential t1 lines, never had any troubles with em.
I don't have many troubles with my dsl lines either though. |
have a T1 at the house, love it. Got it to get the VPN set up with the office to make life simpler.

Have them come fix your cable connection. Mine sucked ass too for like a month but after staying in their asses, they fixed the problem and now i'm running at T2 speed.

I'm sure if they could stop it from going down for everyone several times a week they would, I think the lines get cut all the time... |
Dsl connections and T1 lines are linked to the local D-Slam thus you are on a protected circut.
CABLE internet service does not work like that it is a NEIGHBORHOOD NETWORK wher you actuall shre bandwidth with your neightbors, the biggest problem is if you neighbor orders cable or disconnects or fucks around with it, it can interfere with your service. I had cable for 1 month, and got it for free after the bitching I gave them I have been DSL for 2 years now with out a problem. T1 lines would be the way to go if you can justify the cost, I work at a local ISP(not where I get service) and we sell T1 lines for 285 a month. |

How much for a T3? :) |
Detoxed... can you get phone service via cable? If so that can help since they aren't allowed to have your phone part down at very long legally.
You might consider getting a dsl line and have both connections. |
