This payment method has HUUUGE potential

http://www.myvirtualcard.com/

I got them set up for cc processing on my site

http://www.chokertraffic.com/virtual...uytraffic2.php

This is pretty much what so many people have been talking about doing, but this is the first I have seen of it in a easy to use format. When you make a credit card payment a virtual like account is made TRULY in the background. Then the next time you pay on the same vendor, you login with a user name and password and just click pay instead of having to put in all your cc info again. I know there are others like this, but this one is very easy to understand and use. The ONLY drawback I see is the $1.50 fee they charge the user. I eat this for traffic buyers, but for paysites I can see this scaring off surfers when they are ready to signup. Maybe if they charged the vendor this and made it invisible to the surfer??

Anyway I think this will be HUGE real soon.

Looks good choker, I booked mark them for a later look.:thumbsup

looks good , but they authorize every purchase by telephone only , this might scare away some surfers. great chargeback killer though.

eddie-executive 11-12-2004 10:09 PM

Ok so it calls your house to so you enter your credit card pin number:1orglaugh

1. So if your phone is in the other room you would have to get up and go answer it. Example- having cable internet but no phone line in the room (like me):1orglaugh

2. 2am calls waking up the house cause i needed to verify my credit card so i can jerk off . I can see it now, honey who called at 2 am? :1orglaugh

3. Suppose i wanna jerk off at a friends house and they have to call my home phone? (I don't do that but I'm sure people have) What about all the people with office jobs that rub one out on the clock?

Won't work.

fris 11-12-2004 10:11 PM

looks good choker, gonna make a purchase now :)

Not true. They only do a phone call when the system flags the purchase as questionable. I just made a payment to myself and no phone call.

can you tell me a legit quebec processor?

mvc, paysystems, eagle payments, os-pay, all scammers

firepay may be the only exception

im just reading what the site says

------------------------------
myVirtualCard uses telephone authentication to validate the customer and provides the merchant with an audit trail for their records, thereby decreasing chargeback claims.

Consumers will no longer be able to claim charges to their credit card as being an act of fraud, because our system will call their telephone, automatically, and ask them to enter their personal identification number. Once authenticated by the telephone call, the on-line transaction process will proceed.

Specifically, a consumer will create an account with myVirtualCard.com. During the transaction process our system will call their telephone and ask them to key in their 4-6 digit PIN. Once the PIN has been entered and validated, the consumer will be granted access to continue their purchase from the online merchant site. Our system will automatically re-authenticate the consumer every time they fund their account.

-------------------------------

i myself would find this system comforting if i was the purchaser, but im just looking at it in porn terms..

SmokeyTheBear 11-12-2004 10:30 PM

Heres what a sample pornsite signup form looks like. It doesn't mention having to authorize anything , so this is a good thing, the purchaser wouldn't know till after he signed up.. no biggie..

Scenario-

I got my meat out tenderizing it to some hot ass paysite tour and im rushing through the signup process and BAM!

THE FUCKING PHONE RINGS!

So i take the bone out of my hands and run to the phone so i don't wake my family at 2 am. I get to the phone it says hello this myvirtualcard will you enter your pin please. So ok sounds simple enough BUT ANNOYING. I proceed to enter my number and bam my girlfriend comes out and sees me on the phone with my wang out! She asks who are you talking to? I say no one go back to sleep it was a wrong number.

All because i forgot to enter my middle intial during the signup process:1orglaugh

i have a friend in quebec who had to threaten the owner in person multiple times before getting paid

others were not so lucky

they may pay for a bit but ultimately they have the reputation of freezing funds and never paying out the accounts

there system is also quirky, low fraud but they are plagued with technical problems

the owner is a very unsavory character, montreal telemarketing scammer by trade

pornguy 11-12-2004 10:36 PM

They look good, but most customers will give up... you lose the impulse buyers I think...

probably better suited to B2B cc processing, not for porn surfers.

I think the ones they call on are ones that would be declined anyway. So if you can salvage it with a autmoted phone call you loose nothing.

I dealt with this guy numerous times in his really early stages on an AVS setup. Never followed through, broken promises, bad communication. And very happy I never got the ball rolling.

won't work.
if you travel in your job and are 1000 miles from home and they call your home phone to authorize? and the wife asks what was that strange call while you were away?

if you are AOL dial up and are using phone line for dial up connection they would get a busy signal till you hung up.

just won't work.
