What is the best place to register a domain?
 

I've been using godaddy but have a valuable domain name and would like to know the safest place to transfer it.

www.enom.com isnt bad, if you are content with the slow loading speends they have

http://www.namecheap.com :thumbsup

dotmaniac.com is a good one

namecheap or directNIC

I thought I'd start giving Moniker a try. Let's see how it goes.

They've been great so far.

i have coupon if needed, i just started using within the last 2 months....also namecheap is good

While you're on the topic of registrars, does anybody know how to lock a domain at register.com?

Is it even possible?

FYI: www.namecheap.com uses www.enom.com as their back end.

I'm sure godaddy is just as reliable as any of those others....

If you really want to feel safe go with networksolutions.com

they should be locked by default. go to manage domains and pick one then go to the very bottom and you''l' see the lock icon

Definitely the way to go. I have had the best customer service with them. I have been with a ton of different registers. I never have to change again.

Are you kidding!!? Fuck Network Solutions. I hate them the most! They would not let me transfer a domain that I owned to Directnic. I had to fight for it.

Stay away from them.
