TCG Down for anyone else?
 

Again... I fell this is going to be a bad night....

Spoke with Rocki already. Tech is doing something with switches. There will be intermittent outtages for the next hour or so.

Again? This has happened a lot in the past few months.

I ping their servers every 5 minutes. I monitor their join cluster really really closely :)

TCG is doing there own upgrades right now so it doesn't have anything to do with a host. They should be up shortly (being optimistic)

and now 2 more times in the past month they are down

fuck that shit....TCG is great and all, but I don't do downtime well

IsPrime hosts their FHG's. Galleries are never down, heh.

Yes, unfortunately we are having some down time. It was certainly not something we anticipated. Our bandwidth usage has grown tremendously. Too handle the growth we installed some new switches today. However they are having some configuration problems and they are working on it now.

I expect everything to be back up shortly. We apologize for the inconvenience.

are we getting compensated for this downtime?

I just cant figure out why sponsors dont do maintenance at 3am when traffic is at its lowest levels of the day. Sure it may costs a little more to get tech to work at that hour, but how much total loss is 3 hours+ downtime on a friday evening costing everybody.

Depends. For those who diversify their traffic amongst many different sponsors, not much.

We didn't anticipate any interruption, and we did not want to wait to make the upgrade. We wanted to complete it before we had another problem. Unfortunately it did not work out exactly as planned.

Yes, we will compensate for the downtime.
