War is not pretty ....
I am sure they woould prefer to use Apache helicopters, but they have none ... Time for the US to get the fuck out ... 1) There are NO wmd's 2) You took Saddam prisonner, so Georgie got his cookie 3) You installed your puppet government ( like you had done in Iran, Nicaragua, Chile, etc ...) so you will get first crack at the oil. No more reasons to stay there. |

" appereance of transparency " Under Clinton, the gov had no ties or interest in Halliburton In the case of the Bush-CHENEY administration, this is not the case... As an example, a judge will recuse himself if let's say he wrote an article on a subject ( gave an opinion ) that is brought before his court... Could he have been objective and impartial ? Maybe. But just the shadow of a doubt would be enough to invalidate his ruling. With Cheney as VP, the least they could do is to issue tenders... it would preserve the apperance of fairness... :2 cents: |

Religion truly is the biggest form of evil |
Quote:
"Throughout this period the Catholic church was involved with the carnage, Colombus himself was deeply religious and the slogan of the conquistadors was "God, gold and glory". Forced conversions were a policy of the time, commonly as a preliminary to execution. One of the few to publicly argue against the brutal treatment of the Americans was a priest however he was rapidly shut up by the Vatican. The church produced an ideology of conquest designed to provide moral right to the brutal oppression of the native people." http://flag.blackened.net/revolt/ws92/columbus35.html |

Then I started to learn all the things the Catholic Church did in the name of Christ and God. Horrible events in history. The extermination of some races (Spaniards in America come to mind). The wholesale slaughter of countless people (the Crusades come to mind). The Spanish Inquisition, where thousands upon thousands of practicing Catholics were imprisoned for life or killed. The offhanded way Popes would hand out indulgences. The forgiveness of sins in return for payments. The way the Lord's name was used to advance careers and kill others.

The settler governments and peoples of North, Central and South America who occupy the lands of various Indigenous nations of peoples will again celebrate with holiday parades and festivals for the 512th year of the invasion of our sacred lands by the colonial pirate Christopher Columbus. Columbus was the beginning of the American holocaust against Indian peoples that claimed at least 60 million people from 1492 to the present. These deaths were characterized by military and biological warfare, murder, torture, raping, pillaging, robbery, slavery, kidnapping, and forced removals of Indian people from their homelands.
To our Italian American friends, and others we say that to celebrate the legacy of this murderer is an affront to all Indian peoples, and others who truly understand this history. It would be the same as if German people would celebrate and glorify Adolf Hitler and the rise of fascism, and the Nazi holocaust by holding parades through the Jewish communities of America and throughout the world. http://victoria.indymedia.org/news/2004/10/32087.php |
After he failed to contact the emperor of China, the traders of India or the merchants of Japan, Columbus decided to pay for his voyage in the one important commodity he had found in ample supply -- human lives. He seized 1,200 Taino Indians from the island of Hispaniola, crammed as many onto his ships as would fit and sent them to Spain, where they were paraded naked through the streets of Seville and sold as slaves in 1495. Columbus tore children from their parents, husbands from wives. On board Columbus' slave ships, hundreds died; the sailors tossed the Indian bodies into the Atlantic.
Because Columbus captured more Indian slaves than he could transport to Spain in his small ships, he put them to work in mines and plantations which he, his family and followers created throughout the Caribbean. His marauding band hunted Indians for sport and profit -- beating, raping, torturing, killing, and then using the Indian bodies as food for their hunting dogs. Within four years of Columbus' arrival on Hispaniola, his men had killed or exported one-third of the original Indian population of 300,000. Within another 50 years, the Taino people had been made extinct -- the first casualties of the holocaust of American Indians. The plantation owners then turned to the American mainland and to Africa for new slaves to follow the tragic path of the Taino. This was the great cultural encounter initiated by Christopher Columbus. This is the event we celebrate each year on Columbus Day. The United States honors only two men with federal holidays bearing their names. In January we commemorate the birth of Martin Luther King, Jr., who struggled to lift the blinders of racial prejudice and to cut the remaining bonds of slavery in America. In October, we honor Christopher Columbus, who opened the Atlantic slave trade and launched one of the greatest waves of genocide known in history. http://prestwidge.com/river/columbus.html |
god damn that was crazy..

Verisexy - I love you.
:thumbsup Relax, no one wants to admit that history dictates the future and tends to repeat itself not only endlessly but aimlessly by the will's of good men paving the road to hell with good intentions. aggressor's of humanity are glorified since the voices of those murdered can not be heard allowing the winners to write history. How is it.. Kill one man and your a criminal. Kill 100,000 and your a King. |

Christian Atrocities In 1122 Christian crusaders swept over Jerusalem and slaughtered men, women and children, 'until their horses were knee deep in blood. We then went to the church to thank the Lord for his mercy.' In 777 , Charlemagne, a devout Christian, after conquering the Saxon rebels, gave them a choice between baptism and execution. When they refused to convert, he had 4500 of them beheaded in one morning. In the fourth century, Emporor Constantine, the first Roman Emperor to become a Christian, had over 3000 Christians executed because their interpretation of the Bible did not agree with his. That is more than the number of Christians who died at the hands of the Romans during the well known 1st century "Christians to the lions" persecutions. The above are from William Manchester's "A World Lit Only by Fire- The Medieval Mind and The Renaissance"..Little, Brown & Company, 1992 Queen Isabella, famous for sending Columbus to the New World in 1492, was well known also for her 'Spanish Inquisition', the gruesome torture and murder of tens of thousands of Spanish Jews, Muslims, homosexuals, people who read or wrote, uppity women, and anyone else not up to the Queen's strict standards. Isabella was a champion of the faith, piously congratulating herself as her victims writhed to their deaths in the flames and the many other ingenious methods of torture invented by her inquisitors. |

Hitler's Christianity
To deny the influence of Christianity on Hitler and its role in World War II, means that you must ignore history and bar yourself forever from understanding how this atrocity occurred. http://www.nobeliefs.com/Hitler1.htm |
