I heard on MTV that in order to give blood you ;

*Cant have any tattoo's
*Cant have any piercings of the ears & body
within the last 12 months
*At least 17 years old
*At least 110 lbs
*Never been tested POSITIVE for any STD.

I have had 3 piercings within the past 6 months...so that counts me out...and i am broke..what can I do now?? http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/frown.gif

I don't know if this helps in your case Baba, but the tattoo rule is none in the last two years.

done something that puts you at risk for becoming infected with HIV, the virus that cause AIDS.
You are at risk for getting infected if you have:

taken illegal or non-prescription drugs by needle, even once
taken clotting factor concentrates for a bleeding disorder such as hemophilia
tested positive for any AIDS virus
been given money or drugs for sex, since 1977
had a sexual partner who puts you at risk for AIDS infection. This means:
you have had sex in the last 12 months with someone who is at risk for being infected with the AIDS virus (described above)

I have tattoos and donated. They did ask how long I've had them, so I'm assuming that I made some sort of cut. I think I remember someone saying that if you've had them for more than 12 months your clear. Something about ink in the system that needs to work its way out.
