Jesus why did I die

who will tell my kids I'm gone
who will guide them straight and strong
my only crime was going to work
and now I watch my children hurt

I stopped to help a wounded man
and now I can no longer stand
and if you now could hear me plea
please don't let me die for free

I loved my children I love my land
and for this all I just can't stand
I cannot weep I cannot cry
please Jesus just one more try

Jesus says my little lamb
this is part of my master plan
the forces of evil have met their day
when all eternity makes them pay

Now go to sleep my little child
for it will only be awhile
before I reuinte thy wounded soul
with those ones who loved it so
