Have you ever had to make one? We had a burglary a short while ago (first ever) and obviously made a claim. After nearly two weeks they tell us they'll send a claims inspector out in another two weeks.

Obviously that's not good enough and I've bitched so we get one a little quicker, however we'll still be ditching them the minute it's settled and using someone else. Their loss as the house is now almost as secure as fort knox (and I'm kicking myself for not doing it before now).

I was wondering though - if anyone's had to make a claim after a break-in how long did it take you to get a check? I want to know how loudly to bitch as 4 weeks before the insector even arrives seems extreme to me.
