2257 question

I asked about this in another thread but the title did not mention 2257 so maybe I will get more response in this thread.

Are .jpgs of ID's considered to be legal 2257 documents or do you have to have the actual documents?

I am asking in regards to being a secondary producer of course...not the primary producer.

Didn't you say you had sold all your sites a while ago?

You are correct. Do you know the answer to the question?

Are you drinking again?

How are you going to have the actual documents, going to make a collection of models driving licenses and passports? :321GFY

Ever heard of a scanner that scans documents...or ever heard of a copy machine. .jpgs are jpgs and not paper documents.

But you can make a print from a .jpg and a scans are not "the actual documents"

The producer has to check that the documents are real, he has to see the actual documents and verify they are authentic, many model releases require the producer to agree and give a signature that he has done just this. But no client get's the äctual documents" some get a .jpg on a disc and some get a slide.
