Explain this to me...

you just make a brand new fresh gallery and name it and serve it up from a fresh new domain

then all of a sudden, some of the TGP/MGP link scripts tell you that "this gallery has already been listed"

this happens to me almost every day with several sites

how the fuck is it possible to have a brand new gallery i JUST made on a totally different server, with a different domain and gallery name already be it the database? WTF?

someone please exlain :helpme

using sponsor content? they probably mean your content, it gets used by so many people they won't show it anymore.

nope, it also happens with my own paysite that only i promote

it makes zero sense... and besides, a script can't tell what kind of content it is just by the name...

I run AAAAAAAAAAATGP and as soon as you submit my script spiders your galleries and runs around submitting a copy right before you do.

:1orglaugh

seriously guys, does anyone know the a reason this happens?

Easton 11-10-2004 10:25 PM

i had a feeling nobody could answer this!

It's because the reviewers have either reached their daily quota, don't like the description or don't like something about the gallery and just hit the first denial response they see instead of taking the time to look up an appropriate one.

ok let me try this again... the SCRIPT refuses the gallery automaticaly, it never gets seen by human eyes

how do you explain that one?

I guess I should learn to read better, ROFL.

I guess I'd blame that on a shitty programmer or a webmaster who doesn't know how to configure their scripts.

Must be something wrong with the site you are submitting to, if you are using totally fresh content.

I know I have had it happen to me before with sponsor content, because the scripts automatically check and store information about the images in the gallery,(I assume the file size of the full size images?), so it can tell if other galleries with that content have already been listed.

let's put it this way, it's a VERY big site and i get this error almost every day... to the point i just about give up

but you raise a great point about storing the file size of the image or movies... do they really do that?

so if i submit:

A. www.whatever.com/sponsorA/gallery.html with say 3x1.5MB movies

B. www.otherdomain.com/sponsorB/othergallery.html with the exact same file sizes but with totally DIFFERENT content all together and a different sponsor on a different host with a different page name, it will get blocked?

can a large TGP/MGP owner please address this?

Sly 11-10-2004 11:25 PM

Easton, what script is the TGP in question using?
