I see this shit bantered around, "started early" in '97. This is the year 2004. In 2020 will this be considered "starting early"?

I'd say really early is anyone who was running an adult BBS before the web really took off...

I used to run a pirated copy of Wildcat BBS back in the early 90's... I thought I was a pretty cool dude. lol

And then when I upgraded to Windows 3.1, I installed Trumpet Winsock to enable the SLIP protocol ( there was no PPP ), and I fucked with the script for WEEKS to get that damn machine to surf the net. Damn we've come a long way since those days.

I was a customer of adult BBS's back then, but somehow the opportunity never really occured to me back then. I'm still wondering why I never realized quite what the potential was.
