Ready to board a plane?

Is it headed for Afghanistan? If so, book me a seat.

Nope and that makes me feel a bit trapped. I had no plans (mostly due to being poor) of going home for a while but atleast I had the option.

I'm pretty sure much of the armed forces will move by sea, I'm not sure I'd be too comfortable flying for a while.

I've only been on 7 jetliners in my life, and even the slightest turbulence gives me those thoughts, you know, like is this it? I don't think I'll even be comfortable seeing a plane fly by for a while without wondering of it's going to turn and go after someone or something. I'm usually not one to give in to such thoughts, but in this case we really don't know what these terrorists are capeable of or what they have planned.

When we went to Iraq for that other lunatic, we (soldiers) all went on Northwest Airlines planes. Kind of surreal actually. An entire jetliner full of soldiers in full combat gear and a couple of very sexy flight attendants getting us any damn thing we wanted.

Well i brought up this topic in reminder of the 1989 quake in the Bay Area- loma preata and i was really scared to drive across the Bay bridge-San Mateo bridge it was like driving on ICE! and the same feeling applies to this dissaster! YES YOU SHOULD BE SCARED! and nothing less as it can happen just as fast as the previous attack!

However, I will in a few weeks when I go to Houston and I'm not worried in the least about the flight, but I don't look forward to more BS at the airport...

Yes i am scared all the time driving on freeways but you can control your own fait* as far as an Aircraft Flight you have -0- control of your fait..

Yes more people die daily in car crashes then aircraft disasters but the odds now are not in good favor..

In the coming weeks, maybe even months it will be the safest time to fly in terms of terrorist hijackings. I mean shit, are YOU going to sit in your seat and be good for them now? Ha.

If some stupid terrorist tries a copy-cat, they really deserve what their going to get. People are not ignorant of their fates any longer, as they were yesterday on the flights. People with nothing to lose are NOT poeple to be fucking with. The guys will get bum-rushed from everyone onboard.

Essentially if there is an attempted hijacking, everyone is going to think that they are going to be used as a flying missile. Since they think their going to die anyways, they won't sit idly by and watch their fate, they'll storm the terrorists and kick the shit outa em.

Just my theory is all.

I'm on a flight. A Terroist threatens that we are going to crash into something & use the plane as the "bomb".

OKay, so if i dont try to do anything, I'm for sure going to die. Why not try to stop them first! I wouldnt have anything to lose! My life is already going to end in the crash.

Well I have a flight next Friday. I will be on that plane. I will not let these guys (whoever they may be) get to me that way.

im kinda scared personally.. Im in Venice Italy right now, taking the train out to Capri and Rome today, and Flying to London next week.. Then I fly from London to Canada 10 days after that.. Then from Canada to home in the USA the next week..

A lot of flying, and Im sure its safe but Im fucking scared to hop on the London to Canada flight. I know I shouldnt be scared, but I know the thoughts of fear will be with me the moment I step on the plane.

International flights always scare me, but this one in this case will really freak me out..

During the Persian Gulf War I flew from Portland OR, to Washington DC and almost shit my pants with fear.. This time I think it will be best if I wear a diaper.
