I will DDOS your email server for 6 days straight JUST BEFORE
i'll put in the transfer request for your domain name..
This is how it'll work: I'll hold your email server down. I'll put in a request to transfer your domain. Since your email server will be busy dealing with my packets you can forget about ACK/NACK transfer request coming through from your registar. And your domains will be mine! Disclaimer: I would never do such a thing but you can bet your bottom dollar that this will happen. Good luck trying to keep your domain names! |
brb... checking to make sure all my domains are locked.
What fucking idiots. :BangBang: There has got to be some crazy conspiracy or something behind them doing this. WTF are they thinking??? While they're at it, why don't they make new spam law where you have to OPT-OUT to unsolicited email rather than having to OPT-IN first. ::shakes head:: |
Another method I thought about this very moment is mass-mailing the user with fake ACK/NACK transfer requests. It'll take him ages to find the real one.

I've locked everything I can already, gotta wait for hubby to wake up to get the rest cuz I'm not sure the info to access them.
Maybe I'll be able to get this domain I've been after for years with this! :winkwink: |

crap! |
what about the people who have an outdated email? Or like someone said... they are just out on vacation.
Hmmm and right around the holidays when everyone will be taking off. Man. What a fucking joke. |

If they were, then DDOS's wouldn't be such a threat these days in the first place. (since people would know what they need to do to stay secure) |
Maybe it's a conspiracy between all the domain registrars, to lock a domain is now free, but in a few months they come out saying it costs too much money to lock all these domains and that we now have to pay a per domain fee to lock our domains :(

If I where a thief, boy I'd fucking hammer this system. So easy to rip, and I'd have a bot running in a day or two. So tempting...

It's going to be something like that. This is just too idiotic for there not to be some sneaky reason behind why they are doing it. |
I'm not sure if you can do it.. but can you use a different contact E-mail in your personal profile at the domain registrar? This would get around that problem as the whois info e-mail would be diffrent.
The other thing is to simply make sure all your names are locked. If you lose a name it's really your own fault. There is no reason to leave a name unlocked. |
