Li Zhaohui, who is also the first entrant to have inherited his wealth, after this father Li Haicang's murder in January saw him become chairman of Shanxi Haixin Iron and Steel Group. If you were him, would you be happy as hell or sad? |

With that kind of cash in the family, being the son he was rich anyway, his fathers death would not effect his way of life other than bringing more responsibility and grief upon him. so I guess I would be very sad. |

Businessman Li Haicang's former friend Feng Yinliang is suspected of shooting dead the president of the Shanxi Haixin Steel Co in North China's Shanxi Province, it was announced yesterday.
Feng, a local private businessman, committed suicide by turning the self-made gun on himself, according to local police sources. Two bullets had been fired from Feng's gun and three were left. Yan Heping, vice-director of the Public Security Bureau of Shanxi Province, last night confirmed Wednesday's fatal shooting of Li Haicang. Li was found dead in his office in Dongzhen, a minor township in the city of Yuncheng. He had been killed by one shot to the head at about 11:30 am. Feng's wife was detained for her alleged involvement in the illegal possession of more than 30 bullets at her home. The reason for the killings remained unclear. But some local residents said that Feng, after his paper-making mill failed, tried to force Li several times since last May to buy the plot of land occupied by Feng's firm and which had been contracted out to other buyers. Li refused. Police from the criminal investigation office and social security office of the Yuncheng Public Security Bureau, together with personnel from the provincial public security bureau, have formed a special work group to conduct an investigation at the scene of the killings. The private Haixin Steel Co continued to operate as normal after the incident, though cars and people filled the street in front of the factory. Li, 47, was a member of the Ninth Chinese People's Political Consultative Congress and vice-chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. |
