$100 Million First Day for 'Halo 2' game

First-day sales of Microsoft Corp.'s new video game "Halo 2" will reach $100 million, a senior Microsoft games executive said on Tuesday.

Sales, not profit. I wonder what production and marketing costs were. They will still make a fortune.

I'd expected Halo 2 to be getting that lot of money.

How Did they create such a buzz before it even came out ?

As you can see, I'm sure Bill Gates was running low on cash and had to come up with something else. So he decided to try other ventures as well.
