great film (the first). lots of philsophy in it as well, which is what i really could appreciate.
It inspired me to go 'woah' alot and speak in a huskey yet lifeless voice
it was like the best movie to come out that year. made you think. ya had to fucking love the RATM at the end credits ;]
funny. wouldn't so much say changed as influenced. yes to the question i guess.
I loved it. It was especially good since I just wanted to see a movie, and I hadn't decided which. Then I just bought tickets to see it without knowing anything about 'the matrix' and shit. :)
matrix was awesome.
Yes it did in some ways.

It was a new twist on old stories.
Machines become self aware and fight with man. How many times has that plot been done? Terminator was the most popular movie with that plot, but definitely not the first. Then there's the "is reality really real?" plot. Plato's Cave is the oldest version of that story I know of. I don't recall that the two have ever been put together though. It was done pretty really well and I'm glad they did it. I just wish they would have left it at the one movie though. That phone call ending was a great way to leave us hanging, yet give us just enough closure so that we don't go nuts. |
not at all, i just watch that because of my little brother and niece.
not at all. They totaly ripped off Gibsons books and didnt come up with anything original themselves. If you liked the film try reading William Gibson :thumbsup
I can't say they've changed my life at all... but all Matrix movies are in my head video selection..
Samuel:winkwink: |

this is true, plot has been done. But none of those movies really involved the human interaction WITHIN the computer mainframe, jumping in and out of different worlds so to speak, like the matrix did, did they? |

I knew this stripper who lost her mind after she saw that movie. She found God or something and became a born again....At least for a couple of years anyway till she decided to go back to dancing.

Pure entertainment. Nothing to change a life over. The Times of Harvey Milk, now that was life changing.:thumbsup
