DSL without phoneline???

Does anybody know any companies like SpeakEasy.net who provide DSL without requiring a phone line? I don't want to pay for a home phone when I wont use it and my cable company's broadband sucks!! .. any other suggestions??

Just curious, how do you think they might move electrical signals from your computer to anywhere else?

I mean, DSL stands for Digital Subscriber LINE and was wondering what you may have in mind to replace the line part of the equation?

He means can he sign up for DSL without haveing an active account with the phone company for regular telephone service.

My phone company will do this. Call and ask.

I see you're in FL, so I guess you've already dealt with the pricks at BellSouth. When my exhusband and I split and he got his new place, we went through this with them. He uses his cell only but they wouldn't do dsl without him getting the full blown phone account. We couldn't find anyone else that offered dsl only. He finally got cable access a few months ago and dropped BS.

Try covad, i know they usually like to run their own circuits anyways. You might have to pay for a business line though, im not sure. Worth a shot.

In The Netherlands, you can order it without a phone subscription, however, you have to pay 9 euro a month extra, which is the same price as the cheapest subsciption

Take a look around and see if you can get a wireless service that uses radio. I have it and it is great. I am not sure if they offer it in Miami area though.
