Well, firstly it is only a matter of months before an election. Secondly, he would step down before he allowed himself to be impeached and if he didn't his party would have a vote of confidence. Even if he was impeached that doesn't take the labour party out of power. Gordon Brown will pipe up shortly and try to calm the Brownites on the back benches. He might not mean it but he will have to be seen to do it becaue otherwise he will be taking over a party torn apart and it has to be him to take over the party now if something happens since there is pretty much no one else that would have the same level of support he does.
Could there be something to come out of it? Sure. Will Blair be impeached? no. Will the Labour Party lose control of Parliment in the next election? No. The one after that? Maybe but frankly the torries supported the war too and the lib dems aren't strong enough yet.
