Assault to retake Fallujah begins

...for the third or fourth time. I hope like hell the micro mananaging politicians...Iraqians as well as US...keep their fucking noses out of it this time and allow the military to do its job.

This will constitute the largest urban warfare battle since Vietnam...when US forces retook Hue during the 1968 Tet offensive.

Now that all this dreadful business has started, they really need to get the job done and have done with it.

Otherwise, the coalition should have stayed the fuck away in the first place. :2 cents:

They don't even know how many we are up against. 1000 to 6000 are the estimates. We have what, 10,000 troops about to storm a booby trapped urban zone? ugh

KRL 11-07-2004 11:32 PM

AC-130 Gunships about to kick some serious butt.

3,000 insurgents holed up in there. Estimated that half are al quaida's.

I like the way they're using the newly trained Iraqi soldiers as fodder at the start.

One key reason to take Fallujah hospital early was likely to control information: The facility was the main source of Iraqi death tolls during the first U.S. siege of Fallujah in April, and U.S. commanders accused doctors there of exaggerating numbers

Not in the long run. They'd make a huge dent by destroying all the mosques.

Haha yeah..... exactly. The Iraqi soldiers think theyre being given an opportunity, but theyre really just human shields and theyll be melted down to nothing.

Did you see the "US soldier - Iraqi soldier" camaraderie they keep showing on CNN where the US soldiers keep giving the Iraqi soldiers high fives and calling them "brothers".

Hahaha.... what a bunch of mugs.
