Planning to go to Hawaii at the end of this semister ... but non of my friends have enough money to tag along.

If I go there by myself will I be wasting a lot of money or I might have just as fun ?

I would think that if you were going somewhere alone then you should go to another country and stay at hostels. You can make good friends who live in that country and aslo with people from around the world.

I used to do this in Europe and met several nice girlfriends that way.

Well you'll be wasting some money in the sense that you'll have to cover the hotel/rental car all by yourself vs splitting it. Being able to meet people and have a good time reallly depends on what type of person you are and where you'll be staying.

yeah, if nobody can go with u, go by urself. I've traveled a lot by myself and met lots of really cool ppl. Those were actually one of the best holidays ever 4 me!
