more than 1 Nameserver on a server pointless?
is having more than one nameserver on a server pointless? i'm merging two servers into one superserver and was wondering about this

I can see why you would want it if you are merging servers. It's easier to change the ip of nameservers than it is to change the nameservers of hundreds of domains. I may have to do this cuz I'm lazy and don't wanna do it the right way :-(

Wilbo, if you didnt manually enter in the IP for the nameservers in your registrar you dont need to update each domain, just update the nameservers with the new IPs, and everything should forward over... of course, do one nameserver at a time so that the sites are still up while one is changing over.. etc
