Ebay Question

Do ebay allow you to sell 'replica' goods? basically goods that are fake but clearly admit they are?

I presume this would be against there policy wouldnt it?

Um, why would eBay care if you sold replica goods? Unless you are violating someone's trademark, it shouldn't matter to eBay.

As long as you state that it's a replica you can sell anything you want.

Steen2 11-07-2004 01:20 AM

I do not think they allow that sort of infringement. At least, Paypal doesn't.

SlutFinder 11-07-2004 01:20 AM

hmm i spose so, more an issue with the company that its copying..

thanks for the input

Chris 11-07-2004 01:22 AM

A list of things not allowed..

foolio 11-07-2004 01:24 AM

How close is it to the real thing?

SlutFinder 11-07-2004 01:24 AM

from ebay:

Do not list counterfeits, unauthorized replicas, or otherwise unauthorized items (such as counterfeit watches, handbags, or other accessories) on eBay.

Guideline
If the product you are selling bears the name or logo of a company, but it wasn't made or endorsed by that company, don't list it on eBay.

i think they will do you for it, whatever way you look at it :(
