They tried to get me too back when i was selling cutco knives... it's similar to the mlm thing as was mentioned already.
They made it sound all official too - made me get like 5 references... fuckers. They wanted like 300 bucks upfront too.. when I asked them to pay the thing for me and I'll pay back when I start making the great money that they promised during the seminar, they obviously refused. That about sums up my experience with them |
they basically are a multi-level selling arm of Citicorp - you sell insurance, mortages, annuties, etc.
a friend of mine was interested and signed up with them. I went to one of their meetings per her request to check it all out. Kinda creepy with the whole MLM marketing angle but legit in terms of the products they sell. I don't like any program where they stress the commissions you get from the downline people instead of the commissions you get yourself from selling. if you want to go into selling financial products there are plenty of other options out there - take a look around. |

BIGGEST FUCKIN SCAM EVER
They basically teach you to market financial products to poor fucks who don't need it. I don't want a job thats gonna be lieing 24/7. They also want money for upfront. If you wanna be a financial planner, take some legit classes and get certified to be a CFP. |
its obvious I need to start up one of these seminar deals, ya know the ones were you charge 200-300 per head to join, give a shitload of useless information, make it clear its up to you to make your wealth with drive and determination. Knowing 99.9999% of people lose interest in it next week. All the while I am raking in 200 per head. :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

My sister started to get involved in that shit in between jobs. They pretend like you're gonna be a "financial advisor" but it's amway type insurance bullshit. I'd steer clear.

4 years ago my old boss took me to one of these meetings. He wanted to quit his job and open his own office with Primerica. If you're on top, i guess you can make decent money having your minions selling insurance, stocks, funds, etc... His college friend was pretty high up in the company with a few offices in Miami, so he was doing pretty good. He made mad monthly commissions off of my Roth IRA and Mutual Funds. They put on a pretty good show. Everybody was happy, talking about how much money they were making, and how good it feels to help people get life insurance at lower costs... But basically its all a show, because they force current members to bring one or two nonmebers so they can convince them to join too. And they show pictures of one of the leaders houses and cars and talk about how great it is to go on vacations, and all this other bullshit...

What really pissed me off was the fact that the coffee wasn't even free! At a seminar where they're convincing you that you can be a millionaire by joining and with at least 30 millionaires there they can't afford to provide free coffee! LOL
That was the first red flag for me, as that was the only seminar I've ever attended in my life without free coffee! lol |
