Ok. Around midnight tonight I started having a gallbladder attack. It was a bad one. Very hard to breathe and a ton of pain. I took 800mg of ibuprofen and started drinking peppermint tea. At around 130am, the pain had subsided enough for me to fall asleep. I just woke up a little while ago, 5am, with more pain. Nothing unbearable, but enough where I can't sleep.
I'm going to wait until 6am and then take another 800 mg of ibprofen. Then hopefully I can get some more sleep.

Ouch - you poor girl, do you have anything stronger you can take? Are you sure you're ok and don't need a doctor?

800mg of ibuprofen is good. I just had to take it sooner than i would have liked to.
Hopefully in 30 mins or so, it will kick in so I can go back to sleep.

I remember the pain of those attacks (before I had my gall bladder removed) and it is intense. Nothing really works to kill the pain, because you have gall stone(s) stuck in the tube from the gall bladder. You should have it checked out before it gets worse, because the gall bladder can get in bad shape quickly. The only thing that I ever found to help reduce the attack is to soak in a warm/hot bath... usually relaxes enough to free the stones temporarily. Stay away from extra-fatty foods to prevent future attacks. Good luck!!
