how the fuck would I go about obtaining one of these deep sea fish? do people sell these or would I have to go and catch my own lol

do you think its possible to keep one alive in a tank at home? they are deep sea fish and some of them live thousands of feet down.

angler fish look so fucking evil and demented I want one to put in a tank. >;]

No -- because their natural habitat is the very deep ocean (where the pressure is extraordinary) they cannot be acclimatized to sea-level aquariums. However, there are some nice shallow-water anglers that make great pets:

I used to own to own an aquarium shop in NZ

Sorry, but no is the answer. They are deep sea fish, u could have a cold water aquarium but it just woulndt work for the fish u have pictured.

Similar fish for a cold marine tank would be monk fish (angler fish in the US I think).

Of course massive ammounts of money could change this..... but as far as I know it would be a world first

yea, I figured i'd have to throw around so much $ to ever do it. get a pressurized tank, cold water, etc.

I know researchers must have a few of these fuckers some where so they can study them. probably only a few of them at universities or other places like that.
