Dollar hits new low against the Euro

Dollar at record low against euro

Seems the people have spoken on their trust in Bush to deal with the US economy.

The dollar has dropped like a bomb since the election. I should have kept my short positions for another week :(

Canadian dollar is going to be worth as much as the US if this continues much longer:

We have a US dollar account here in Czech as well as our accounts in the US, taking as little out as possible. Seems it might be wiser to take it out as soon as possible.

Seems the money markets have little faith in Bush to turn it around.

Also there was a program on here in Czech that said the EU would be as strong financially as the US in the year 2010. Seems it might not take that long. :1orglaugh

This is brutal. What's the longterm forecast? Is it just going to keep going lower and lower over the next few years?

Ask GWB, he's the man with the answers. :1orglaugh

Very true, plus US property prices are dropping and their are some good bargains to be picked up at bankruptcy auctions. Might look into that when I'm over in December, great place for a vacation now that the Czech Crown goes buys so much.

"It seems now that the longer-term investors like pension funds and perhaps monetary authorities are either hedging their dollar risk or moving assets out of the United States.

"It looks like the dollar has further to fall,"
