Serious Business Question I need your help?

If I were to design a brand new AVS/AEN site with a one time payout. What do you think would be fair.
I know there are 15.00 bucks all the way to 25.00 bucks.
So somewhere around 30 - 40 bucks per signup.

Your thoughts are welcomed.

Thanks.

Everything we operate was built around webmasters, so I have to keep the trend going.

Dave,

I would suggest staying lower on the payout (partly due to the demise of exit consoles) and focusing on the content of your product. Webmasters will make more money at the end of the day from a program that converts incredible with a $20 payout, as opposed to one that offers a $40 payout and is poorly executed business-wise.

I think the days of competitive payouts will likely go to the wayside; the futures focus will be more on the product itself which is more costly by nature.

Just crunch the numbers on how much the site will take to operate and how many you project will sign up for it then you can set your numbers...

Exactly, internal traffic test will certainly evaluate / project the profit margin of each consumer. As I said before, the more capital that you spend on things such as content, tour designs, member areas, fraud and webmaster support, the lower the payout can potentially be.

On the same token, if the vast majority of your operation's investment is paying off, the webmasters are benefiting far more with the smaller payout, because the conversions are higher.

I have never understood the focus on payouts. I think it made great marketing sense at one point, but I firmly believe new business idealogies are upon us.
