From what I can tell most of the rest of the Palestinian leadership is more rational and intelligent that Arafat ever was. Hopefully all hell will NOT break loose and the Israelis will finally have a legitimate partner for peace.

I hope the Palestinian people eventually have their own homeland and peace, but I pray that Arafat does not live to see it, since he does not deserve to.

They said they're keeping him alive so they can figure out where to bury him. Nobody wants him.

I wish I could feel sad. But I would probably just be feeling sad during the celebration parade in Lisbon.

I dunno. I don't claim to be an expert on the subject. I just get the impression from following the news that many others in the Palestinian leadership are dedicated to a true democratic solution. Their opinions always seems to stand our sharply against the dictatorial cult of personality that is Arafat's style. I hope I'm not wrong about them.
