Gay (male) couples dont have that problem because there are no women amonst them. Gay (female) couples have zero money because there are 2 women spending.

Also, women are usually less dedicated to their work, and in most cases, underpaid compared to a similar male professional. Less original income = less residual income

It may be because gay households on average have more education than straight households, so their income is higher.

Why you said "disposable" income I don't know... disposable income is simply income after taxes have been paid.... By your question it sounds like you may be implying tax payment differences amongsts gay/straight couples.

seriously, children are expensive. By disposable income, I take that to mean extra money left over after the mortgage and bills are paid, so it stands to reason that the fact that way more straight couples raise children would be a a big reason for the difference in 'disposable income'.

Thats assuming the parents keep the same work schedule. A parent that doesn't work or works part time for example in order to stay home with the child/children kills that theory.
