I just thought I would say what a beautiful country you have. Yesterday I was kidnapped by some friends and we went on a day trip to Ostend and Burges and I can't say enough how much I enjoyed it. I will be going back as soon as I can afford it.

How totally lovely! You all get a bad rap that you don't deserve.

Now I just have to work on my Flemish.

Well I'll just say that the guys and gals we were watching in Markat square in Bruges were anyting but ugly and the only thing smelly were the horses pulling the carriages.

I want to go back for Halloween as I hear they put on special events.

The stores just started selling all that halloween-stuff and everybody jumped right on it.

Really? Thats a shame. The British are starting to buy into it too. I thought it may have been celebrated as part of the culture because back home in the States I was always taught that it had its roots in Germanic culture and I honestly don't know enough about Belgian culture (something I am going to change) to know that the Germans hadn't brought that into the region.

I'm American but hate to see cultural imperalism on things that are just for money making purposes. I used to live near Salem, Mass so I know how much money there is in halloween.
