Do you fix your own car?
 

Ok this isn't directed at those driving porsches. Or if you have a little shitbox you use to get around with and only break out the porsche in the summer for the babes.

Do you do much of your own car repairs (oil, engine, breaks) or do most of you take it in?

I get my knees dirty but I'm sick and tired of it.

Nope, but I'm a girl. I can check my oil and look at my tires. I do have limits. lol

No, we take our cars in to the people that claim to be experts and have a guarantee on their work. I don't do anything without a warranty or guarantee anymore. :thumbsup

I've owned three cars, and on them I have swapped in aftermarket suspension, changed brakes, clutch, and swapped + rebuilt a motor.

Yeah I fix my own car. Had the engine apart a few weeks ago. Atleast I know what is being done to it. I have heard some pretty dodgy stories about mechanics. Plus its a shitload cheaper.

I just rebuilt the carb, installed a new generator and rewired all the electric in my latest one
just got all new interior pieces today...gunna finish fixin it up and sell it

Well, to be quite honest. I don't do the break and technical shit on my own anymore. I don't have tools, lol. But I do them with a friend of mine at his garage.

From like 84-94 I could/would change my own oil.

From '96 to present I just buy new cars and have the oil changed somewhere else.

kinda, I do all of my own interior work and check the oil/fluids. anything else I take it to the shop.
