How many zip/postal codes in canada???

I was looking to send something to MTL and it appears zip/postal codes only cover a street? or a house??

The postal code covers one side of a street...
So you need the house number, street name, city and postal code !

Uhmm.... it's the same principle as a zip code.

They just separate areas of population for mailing purposes.

Depends on the population I guess... I know entire towns with one postal code. And a city that has only 3 or 4.
