I don't like Bush at all .. but after watching the debates on TV and watching Kerry's campaign closely .. I started to feel like if I were American I might just be tempted to vote for Bush.

Simply because "when in doubt .. don't change a thing". The mindset is that if you stay with what you have, it won't get any worse. But if you switch to an uknown factor, then who knows what will happen.

People don't like chaos and they don't like unknowns. And John Kerry just came across as one big question mark.

This election wasn't Bush's to win.. it was Kerry's to lose, and boy did he ever lose it. He had no campaign. Why the fuck would anyone vote for him ? Because they don't like Bush ? That's not democracy, it's unsafe pure and simple.

I probably wouldn't have voted at all. Simply because I don't like any candidate, including any of the 3rd party candidates .. and there's better things I can do to change the system than waiting in line for 10 hours to vote for someone I don't like.

People who did decide to vote mostly voted for Bush because he had 4 years in office to show people what he's made of. And even if that proves to be not much .. he's at least got more substance than Kerry.

Here's an interesting statistic pulled from CNN's exit poll data:

93% percent of republicans who voted, voted for Bush.
89% of democrats who voted, voted for Kerry.
0% of both parties voted for Nader.

7% of republicans voted for Kerry but 11% of democrats voted for Bush.
