ANYONE is better than azzhahahahaha

J-Reel 11-03-2004 09:21 PM

" His replacement could be Tom Ridge, 59, the Homeland Security Secretary, or Rudolph Giuliani, 60, the New York City mayor at the time of the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Giuliani could also replace Ridge if he moves to the Justice Department or returns to private life. Other possible scenarios include Bush replacing Ashhahahahaha with Marc Racicot, 56, who directed his victorious re-election campaign, or Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, 57. "

I heard something about ex mayor giuliani taking the position on fox news today

NickPapageorgio 11-03-2004 09:28 PM

Guiliani discussed this last night on CNN and he is not leaving his post where he is now. He says he is very happy with it, very comfortable with who he is working with and has no desire to do anything else. Maybe Tom Ridge I guess...who knows....this shit is fucked up no matter what.:2 cents:

I mean the whole thing is fucked up dude. Now with Republicans filling the house and senate, anything that Bush decides he wants to send through is gonna just go right on through. Including beefing up the fucking patriot act and appointing more conservative judges. I hope all the fuckwits that voted for Bush are happy. Enjoy what's next. They are putting the screws to the little guy and people just don't get it. They are squeezing the rights out of everyone little by little and it's going to get worse. People don't see the big picture but I for one do. I am very disappointed with yesterday's results.

btw...you know what that patriot act is designed for? No not for your security...it's for their control. It's the start of what they been wanting forever. For people to be the complacent sheep they want them to be and beg to be spoonfed. I won't comment on this shit any further. I am fucking disgusted.

i'm fundamentally a libertarian, however i voted republican this election.

granted, i'm a passive conspiracy theorist from time to time given my past and experience with the government. i have serious doubts that the patriot act will function as the beginning of the end to all freedoms as we know it. parts have already been invalidated by our supreme court that exist on borderline infringement so the government is still functioning with checks and balances as required.

then again, ben franklin once said he who sacrifices security for freedom deserves neither. i agree with this statement. ahh duality.

It's been functioning up till now because of the little bit of resistance they had in the house and senate but now with a major Republican majority they can do whatever the fuck they want. They already use homeland security as an excuse to skirt any red tape that they may encounter with anything so what's next?

Here's a little story. My father works at a Naval Shipyard. For 25 years he has fought in the union there for better rights for workers. Fairer wages for employees. The government has recently been putting the squeeze on a couple issues and threatening to pass into law some legislation that will basically end a few things that they have fought against the government with for years, one of which being right to work. The government says that unless they can come up with the required information for their case by a certain date, the law will be passed with no contest. Well when the union asks for certain paperwork and other things that the government holds that is pertinent to their case, they are stonewalled and told that there is no way they can have the docs and information. They are an issue of "Homeland Security" ... "Sorry unions" ... "Try something else" ... "Better luck next time" The umbrella that the patrot act and homeland security has created is like a free pass for them to do whatever they want. I am no conspiracy theorist. I can see the writing on the wall and I don't like what it's saying.

Basically what I am saying is that the patriot act is bad. Very very bad. Even if they decide not to use it in a malicious way, the legislation is still in there to ALLOW them to use it however they want. That big broad umbrella is like a get out of jail free card man. I am probably just paranoid though...pay no attention to me. Just some of my thoughts.

We are currently taking the biggest risk. Look at how enraged people are at us right now because that fucking hillbilly is in office. How safe you think that makes us?

Telling the UN to get fucked really made us safer eh?

Let me tell you something, we are already spread thin in Iraq and Afghanistan. Let's pretend that North Korea and China decide..."Hmmm...these Americans have no world support right now...and they are already spread so thin they can't defend an attack...LET'S GO IN"

Oh but they won't do that because the US dollar is worth so much and our products are so superior to everyone elses and they "need" us right?

What the fuck would happen then? Oh we'd run to the UN for help and guess what. What if they say, "Hey you know what...you remember when you told us to get fucked...well now you go get fucked...have fun...play again soon."

What then? What's the next step? Call fucking POLAND?

We needed someone in office that could be a fresh face to international affairs and now noone is going to want to talk to us because we fucking re-elected cowboy.

I can hear the redneck philosophy now.

"Fuck the UN. We don't need nobody. We can take over the world if we wanna. We got all the cool weapons...we are the baddest mother fuckers on the planet"

Unfortunately things don't work this way.

Here is a clue. We haven't taken over fucking Iraq. We couldn't find Bin Laden. And yet, we can just STAND on our own? We are helpless without strong international support. We are not going to get it while that fucking retard is running the show. That's a fact. Any country is going to be leary of doing business with us in the future in fear of being made fools of.

Say what you want about having to worry about protecting ourselves above anything else. Yeah that's a great pipe dream. But protecting ourselves starts with not pissing off everyone else.:2 cents: :2 cents: :2 cents:

You should give it thought. You can't sit and assume that the government is actually doing what's right, what is just, what is fair.. and what is necessary.

Increasing airport security is one thing, stomping around the globe and propping up new governments is another.

There are many things the government is doing right now that I would say are highly unnecessary, and should give you great cause for concern.

Not really, the Republicans need 60 Senators to break any fillibuster threat in the Senate. They fall short of that. So there are still SOME breaks to the Republicans.

Your not paranoid, I still want to know what terrorism is going on in Las Vegas strip clubs for the PATRIOT Act to be used there?

FBI says Patriot Act used in Vegas strip club corruption probe
November 04, 2003

LAS VEGAS (AP) - The FBI used the USA Patriot Act to obtain financial information about key figures in a political corruption probe centered on striptease club owner Michael Galardi, an agent said.

Investigators used a section of the Patriot Act to get subpoenas for financial documents, said Special Agent Jim Stern, a spokesman for the Las Vegas FBI office.

"It was used appropriately by the FBI and was clearly within the legal parameters of the statute," Stern said.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Tuesday that records were subpoenaed from Galardi, the owner of Jaguars in southern Nevada and Cheetah's in Las Vegas and San Diego; his lobbyist, former Clark County Commissioner Lance Malone; former Commissioner Erin Kenny; County Commission Chairwoman Mary Kincaid-Chauncey; former County Commission Chairman Dario Herrera; and Las Vegas City Councilman Michael McDonald, who lost a re-election bid in June.

The Patriot Act, passed after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, was originally touted by the government as a tool to help federal law enforcers combat and prevent terrorism.

Civil libertarians have criticized the Bush administration for employing the wide-ranging act to also crack down on drug traffickers and child pornographers.

The measure lets federal investigators seek financial records of people suspected of being terrorists or laundering money.

Malone's lawyer called it an outrage that the FBI used anti-terrorism measures in an effort to gather information on his client.

"The Patriot Act ... clearly was not intended for this," Las Vegas lawyer Dominic Gentile said.

Gary Peck, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Nevada, said the Patriot Act included provisions "that in no way had anything to do with the threat of terrorism, but could help them in your more garden variety criminal prosecutions."
