Vote or die, Eminem mosh, Stick to Entertainment!
All the media hype behind their so called Bush bashing vote or die for Kerry was about the equivalent of pop rocks in the 1980's! ?Ask mikee he liked it? Young voters just don't give a damn as long as the college they are going to has great parties they are set. Next time they should give them a twelve pack for your vote and they will be out in record #'s :2 cents:

Funny and true.
For all of the hype and push....the percentages from 18 to 24 that voted this year was THE SAME that it was in 2000..... about 10% It also cracks me up how high-level actors in Hollywood, who make millions but have never had to actually build a company and work 12 hours a day six days a week (average work time of the top 5% in the US), for years and years, never dealt with hiring, firing, thousands of government regulations on their business, etc, etc.... but instead work 4 months a year for 10 million dollars.... It's funny how they really think that they have the ear of the "people" and can influence an election. |

"Young voters just don't give a damn as long as the college they are going to has great parties they are set" ...you are wrong. we have to live in this country just like you, and we understand what we are voting for... yes, there are those tools out there who vote just because eminem said so, but thats not every one of them... our votes effect our lives, we are not going to make it a joke... that joke could be the reason one of us has to go over seas and lose our lifes... so dont take it so personal, its just a message board |

There's a long history of artists becoming involved in elections, on both sides. I welcome it. They could just sit back and do nothing - instead, they put forth an effort, which is commendable on the part of any citizen, democrat or republican. |

because just like when your age group were kids, most of them didnt care to vote, but there is the select few who do. |

once kids make some serious money and care where it goes they vote

Don't get me wrong, I'm not championing celebs per se. But I think any citizen who makes the time to promote the candidate they back, without recompense, is doing a good thing. Not talking Dem/Repub here - either way it goes - a citizen becoming very involved in the election process is commendable, not something to hold up to scorn. Just my :2 cents: |

Good points.... I think what we are saying is that it is funny how revered their opinions are by the media, as if the ability to rap or play pretend (act) gives one a special insight into world events. and BTW, as far as no recompense is concerned.....BELIEVE me, the publicity is GREAT for their careers. It's ALWAYS good to be in the news. |

And so is the same for those who volunteered to serve and protect this wonderful country. I voted for Kerry but I believe in what we are fighting for in Iraq. I don't think Kerry would have been able to come thru with a 10th of what he delivered but he leaves us with hope for change and without that we need to stick by our guns and support the President. We are safe and more secure since 9-11.. The election is over and so is all these entertainment fools making them selves look good on a political stage! Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, & Bon Jovi were all played out when I was in grade school:winkwink: |

I just look at it as them doing their 'preaching'. Some people look to their pastors, some look to their favorite actor/rockstar, etc. Most, hopefully, examine the issues... but hey, whatever gets them thinking about voting. I voted for Kerry, but regardless of the outcome, one thing I remain excited about was the voter turnout. Nice to see Americans involved in the democratic process 'in bulk'. |

what people need to say is that: young voters as a GENRAL category don't vote
when you say young voters don't vote it offends the pitiful 10% that do... but I bet the 10% that did vote barely did anything to push the 90% that didn't i asked my buddy who is in college and voted what he did to motivate the others that were registered and were not planning on voting, he said nothing really, jsut talked to them you know what they did here? anyone that voted and got the little I Voted sticker got in free to almost any club in Atlanta yesterday...and there were some pretty insane events going on...and if you didn't have the sticker the cover was double...i think this is a great idea...create events that people feel they HAVE to go to cause they are that good, and the only way to get in, is if you voted |
bt i demand u to get rid of that cartoon square sig .
It bugs me  |

whether you want to believe it or not, when he writes or directs, people watch it...and I commend him for building such a controversial character within himself...and I am sure glad he is doing something right with it you may not like him, and I barely like him anymore, but he did more good with that video than anyone could ever imagine |

I've been laughing my ass off for months. People actually believed the youth of America would come vote in record numbers. It's even funnier that people are shocked they didn't. :2 cents:

what fucks with me the most is the amount of people that will show up for a free p diddy concert, get the free t-shirt that says vote or die....and then not show up to the polls....millions of people went to his voting shindigs...but barely any of them really went and voted |
how do you know ? ?
for all you know Bush would have won by 60% overall if it weren't for songs like Mosh ...... |

The election was a fraud. Unbelievable that so many people are fooled into believing the election was fair and true numbers. Once you accept it was frauded you might view what America was and what it has become and realise America's worst enemy for the next 4 years and then some will be itself. |

There is not a chance in Hell Iraq will be restored.
It is not going to happen. I am glad people are optimistic but really, it won't happen. More people will die, the body count will continue on both sides. I do not understand why people think the Arab world will change to American Laws or Democracy. Thats such a ridiculous fantasy. |
