8 million more people voted for Bush this time than in 2000

I'm not sure who is more stupid, the people that actually voted for Bush or the people that think this election wasnt rigged. No way in hell did 8 million more people vote for him this time around.

if you can't spot the stupid person, chances are.. it's you.

what pisses me off the most about voting is it really is not fair... America is suppose to be equal. the voting system is far from equal, if it was then the vote would be how it SHOULD be, by who has the most votes. but its not like that, each state is worth X points, and they have to win the states. how is that fair? its not equal to the american people, because those in FL, their votes/say is worth more then someone's in a lesser point value state. its just not fair, one could have way more votes, but number of votes dont matter, you need to win the state's points... anyone else think the system is bullshit?

I guess Bush is what the American people really want. After all, they maintained power in congress and even gained a few seats in the senate and house.

I can't help but wonder if Kerry would have won if he hadn't run such a lousy campaign. The guy's campaign was nothing but endless appeals to the "anybody but Bush" crowd. He almost never talked about himself as a candidate.

I hear Switzerland is a nice place to live.

Combine population growth with a higher voter turnout percentage and it makes sense.

Is the worse system ever, I know of third world countries with a better election system than that of the one in the USA... :(

I made perfect sense when the senate was elected by our state representatives. It was much easier and more efficient to have our electors vote for president, as counting ballots across the country when the Consitution was written would have been WAY too distant and ballot tampering would have been WAY too easy.

I would, because the electoral college does not always represent the wants of the people. It is now possible to get a fast and accurate count of the popular vote and there's no good reason we should keep the electoral college.

SpikeHeel 11-03-2004 03:06 PM

So what's with it. America has a growing population.

Yes, that is why they are all so successful.
