Not loyal to the US? And you call yourself an American?

What's up with you guys acting like it's the end of the world if Bush is re-elected. And why are you talking about moving to some other country?

I'm proud to be an American and living in the US. Even if Bush is re-elected and I voted for Kerry, there are still democrats in the senate and 4 years from now there'll be another election.

Hello. We now have a Republican ultra right wing president, and a fully Republican controlled Senate and Congress.

Break out your bibles, cause that's what the next 4 years are going to be all about.

Well said.

Wonder if you will feel the same in two years time.

loyalty is at an all time low, along with the US dollar

Germans that left Germany in the 1930's were not disloyal to Germany they didn't want to live under Hitler.

No matter how much you used to love someone... if they change... if they start to go crazy... if they are screwing around on you... or getting violent... then it might be time to get a divorce. Especially if you've already exhausted all opportunities to help them. Especially if there is a more attractive partner you could be happier with.

iFliPcEss 11-03-2004 09:04 AM

running away isn't a solution if you wanted changes in your country, rich people in my country do the same thing, when they didnt like the administration they immigrated right away in other country, and when their "dogs" won again on the election they go back here once again, look what money can do. Its just the same rite? run and run...

What exactly is it that you are proud of?

Are you proud that 4 years ago our system allowed a man to become President even though he didn't really win the election?

Are you proud that all the people who were so pissed off about the last election have sold out their values, turned their backs, and actually voted the bastard back into office?

Are you proud of the way that Bush has handled his war?

Fuck all that. I'm not proud to be an American. In fact, I'm embarrassed by it.

A Government of the people, by the people, and for the people? Yeah right. Get real. :321GFY

Another election 4 years from now huh? Nice......I'm sure they will be just as fair and effective as the last 2.

What's so fucking great about this country? Everybody is crooked, the majority of our troops are poor kids who needed a job and the hopes of an education, and we give tax breaks to companies who send jobs out of the country.

Thinking back on history....I could swear that we fought a war to become "FREE." Now the very country that we fought has way less crime and seemingly more freedom than we do.

Proud to be an American huh? Sad.

Sarah_Jayne 11-03-2004 10:28 AM

end of the world? maybe not but for me my opposition to Bush comes from a place of basic idiology. He represents things that I think are wrong. I could care less about the democratic party. I do care about the things Bush represents and to me some of those things are borderline evil but I am a tree hugging, gay loving, minority loving liberal with a world vision. If you were, you would be depressed too.

It is about having deep beliefs and knowing they mean shit today.

I couldn't agree with you more, however there ARE countries where you would be killed for saying these thing. As bad as America will be for the next four years, it COULD be a lot worse.
