Republican House
Republican Senate
Republican President
Republican Supreme Court

If the adult industry is your bread and butter there is reason to be concerned. Start making plans to make conservative plays like establishing offshore billing, make sure your 2257 work gets finalized and be very careful in what niches you choose to market. Now is the time to start planning for a nasty storm that is likely coming within the next four years.

ok, then go to jbm and find my post from august (when kerry had a 20point lead in NJ)
where I said NJ would be a toss up by election day. Then find last week's polls showing NJ 50-50

The funny thing is that the turnout was bigger than ever this year. More democrat seats were lost this year than republican, even Tom Daschle was ousted. People went out and voted, they voted for Bush a republican. It's 4 years then the Democrats can send Hillary up there and watch Rudy get elected as a president as well.

There is a reason Republicans are running everything right now. The people have voted and their voice was heard. I think we all need to move on and get back to business.

Just my :2 cents:

The Republicans flooded Bible belt areas with the message that the Democrats were going to force gay marriage, ban the Bible, take over healthcare and other misleading BS. Once that got them to the polls of course they were going to vote Republican all the way down the line, thus the house/senate upsets.

I live in the Bible Belt and I never heard ANYONE saying those things.

codymc12 11-03-2004 08:33 AM

I voted against Bush for 2 simple reasons:

I feel I was mis-lead as an American re: the war in Iraq.

He's too right leaning.

However, Bush being re-elected is not what was most upsetting to me - I live in a Democracy, and accept the vote whether it goes my way or not. The most upsetting was why. Did anyone see the NBC poll re: most important issues to voters?

21% - Moral Values
Followed by Economy and terrorism.

Moral values being the most important issue to voters is very very troubling to me. Not because I run an adult oriented business. Bottom line on that is get your house in order, follow the law.

No, it's upsetting because it's a step back for America and does not bode well for the future in terms of personal privacy and individual freedom.

The people HAVE spoken. And they seem to be saying that they want their president to directly intercede in legislating morality.

All pundit-ing aside, 12 clicks, doesn't that bother you? From a constitutional perspective?

Check out this mailer sent by the RNC to residents in Arkansas
http://www.steveclemons.com/GOPMailer.htm

I'm looking at a similar one sent to my house that says Senator Kerry supports partial-birth abortions, sent to me by the state Republican party.

The 'storm' is inevitable, a Kerry win would not have made any difference. Anybody who is serious about their business has already covered themselves. :2 cents:

Show me one statement by Senator Kerry where he says he supports partial-birth abortions, and if you'd like, show me any statement where he says he would "force acceptance of same-sex marriage" (direct wording from the mailer I received).

I know you enjoy passing yourself off as a sage, wise conservative, clicks, and that's fine. The fact is, W is the greatest con ever pulled off on the American voting public. He's nothing more than a hand puppet for the war profiteers and big oil. If you can't see that, well...that's just how he likes you. You know, the wool over your eyes and all.

My son just joined with a metal plate and 7 screws in his arm. He had to get a waiver which took several months and had to be approved at the highest level, but he still got in.

12Clicks age would keep him out. :thumbsup
