Hi,
Since a lot of gallery builders don't want to freehosts to steal their traffic if they want to change freehost, I think it could be cool to have a forwarding url's service made...

What do you guys think?

Just like cjb.net works out, but for adult webmasters, and the url could change, and not be only your main url...unlike cjb.net

In exchange of this, I would aks only a little button to a site of mine to be added to the gallery, just like TGP's asks for a recip...

I posted a previous message about if any programs like that exist, but it seems that there is none...

Like the idea?

Wellif you have a Account with me I can redirect your traffic to a Page but i am only willing to do it for a Certian period of time as im dont like to clog my databse up with Non active Users it wastes space on my Hard drive

Yea...but when you'll close the account and redirect the traffic to 404, the TGP webmaster will drop the link and the gallery builder will loose the traffic from his gallery...

With a forwarding service like mentionned above, it wouldn,t never happen, TGP designer will have the choice to REALLY choose which freehost is the best and freehosts won't loose anything...

Just my 2 cents....does anyone have more feedback about building such a service?

Well here's my .02 cents.

TGP traffic is hard to convert, and for some it can even be hard to get.

Using free hosts makes it harder to get the traffic, and it doesn't seem (at least to me) to be worth the time or the effort to forward free host gallery pages when you switch hosts. (I mean why would a freehost want their traffic to go to another freehost)?

There's forwarding services all over the net. Am I missing something new here?

But I DO think that forwarding TGP galleries on free hosts is too much trouble... not to mention unfair towards the freehost

I am not sure if the problem is that its unfair to the freehosts, its not that difficult to forward a url, but the problem is that I cant think of a tgp that would allow this to happen. As soon as they realized that traffic was being forward to a new domain, regardless if it is the same gallery, they will delete your listing.

Good idea in theory, but I don't know if it would work in practice. You could always give it a try and test it on a few of your own galleries before letting others use the service. But for $15 you can register a domain with Directnic.com and have it forward to any page you want. Even a gallery URL like http://mydomain.com/gallery/page.html will redirect without problems. I think even the most avid freehost users can afford $15/year.

if i redirected your traffic to you it would be still using some Of MY bandwith that you do not pay for and i will not gain any money and still pay for your stuff now I will never do that for someone who violates the Rules.

But i may be nice enough if you are not using your site to Send it to you But i will not Let you waste my bandwith it is just not good for me

deluxe: I won't pay for my bandwith on a TGP gallery since I tried this only once and got a terrible bandwith bill...

Now, I only submit once in a while to TGP's to feed a little my other sites.

First, I never said ANYTHING about stealing freehost bandwith and traffic.

1- the redirecting thing would be JUST LIKE having a domain...the only thing is that it would be FREE and the url would be something like cjb.net offers...but for adult webmasters.

2- I sent your check on your way by fedex when you e-mailed me 2 days ago so stop crying here.

It's the third time and sending you that damn check...and I cannot see in my account that you cashed it, so when you e-mailed me back, I sent you another check.

it kinda is Stealing our bandwith Cuase if we dont get the add space we dont stay in business and there would be no freehost and you would have to pay your own bandwith bill

I never said that above...

no offense, but bad idea.

there is no way in hell that a Freehost will give back the 404.... if there's 404 in the first place, it's because the user violated the rules.... that is, pics over 50kb, or unliscenced, etc...

now, most freehost don't make $$$ much on the ads they have, and will break even or make a little profit from the 404 and from foreign traffic they "MIGHT" redirect...

would they give that back to cheaters? Highly doubt it!
