Would surfers use a system like Videopass or AEBN to watch old sitcom archives?
I was just wondering if there would be interest for surfers to be able to pick any of their favorite old sitcoms like Three's Company or Married with Children etc.
Are there any VOD sites out there that provide that service? If not, is there a demand? |
I would hate to know how much it would cost for the rights.

I don't see why Turnermedia won't turn over shit that they have sitting doing nothing with for rev-share. |
that's quite a good idea, if you could do something like that for Friends you would have a goldmine.
Will be a bitch to get the rights though |

I don't know. All the good ones are on 5 times a day in syndication. Even Married with Children is still on a couple times a day. The only draw I see would be that you could watch any episode you wanted instead of watching whatever the TV played on that day.
If it would ever work a ppv system would probably be the only way. I could see buying 100 minutes and burning up 60 watching porn and then relaxing with a quick episode of Seinfeld before going to sleep. :Graucho |
I'd like to be able to download my favorite SNL skits, high quality.
