The Popular Vote Numbers Don't Add Up

OK in 2000 there were about 101 Million popular votes casts for the 2 main candidates.

This election is being stated as a record turnout and supposedly a higher percentage of people voting then ever before.

So how come the popular vote is only up to about 109 Million?

75% (% of US over 18) of 300 million people is 225 million.

So 116 million people didn't vote??

WTF??

Where did you hear that there was 75% voter turnout?

BTW KRL for president in 2008 - tell the voters you spent $1.3 Million on a domain and they will elect you :thumbsup

I mentioned it earlier and got flamed for it, but the Kerry party was on the news earlier stating that there were about 1.5M votes that might turn up missing that were in his favor.

:2 cents:

I have a feeling that Florida is going to go under a microscope... at least it NEEDS to. I don't trust Jeb over there.

Voter turnout is the proportion of the number of people of voting age who voted. Some guessed that 60% would vote but that looks high.

I think it's all rigged - I don't put it past him, his brother, his father and their crew. I know that most hick towns may be bible worshippers, but I highly doubt people could be so naive. If all the smoke shows haven't cast a little doubt in their minds - today is truly a sad day in history and not only for the US, this is going to affect the entire world and each and every business/market/worker.

sometimes being popular isn't everything. being powerful now that's another story.
