Limit max concurrent connections per IP
I have 5 IP addresses taking up 400+ connections each to my server, which eventually overwhelms apache combined with my other traffic.
I have pennywize to protect my members section, but nothing to protect my free files / movie galleries... So instead of letting one ip address get 400+ connections, how can i limit him to lets say 10? |
I know theres an apache module for
that search modules.apache.org for iplimit If you have freebsd , ipfw has a nice limiting feature. So does iptables actually but you need to recompile the kernel with a patch, yack |
