i've had my eye on the barrett 50 cal for a long time.... hot hot hot

the colors you can choose from are awsome too... you can get it in black, camo, camillian, and snow camo...

but where i live it's illegal to have it with a scope.. kinda makes the rifle a waste to have :(

If you live in California, it's not the scope that makes it illegal. It's the detachable magazine plus the pistol grip that makes it illegal. It violates Senate Bill 23 of 1999.

Arnold just passed Assembly Bill 50, which further bans ALL .50 caliber rifles in the state of California. If you wish to own one, you will need to take possession of one before December 31st 2004, and register it by April of 2005.

not a vest in the world is gonna stop a .50 bmg. The Barrett has been used to shoot holes in engine blocks ;) oh, and take down helicopters. Its interesting that Arnie would ban .50's in cali when barrett is located about 20 miles from downtown Thousand Oaks.

Anybody got $7k they can spare. I want a new toy. I would pimp my wife out, but making 7k from her would take a while.

I hear that small rodents like rabbits and other wild game can be flushed from a bush like the one pictured below. these rifles would be perfect for hunting small animals like that.

The H&K PSG-1 with infared scope, muzzle flash supressor, and silencer, its the perfect gun for hunting small animals such as rabbit and squirrel.

I like the Barret 95 a bit better than the 82, actually. It's a bullpup, a little lighter weight. They're both excellent weapons.

The H&K PSG-1 is also awesome, and my friend tells me it was covered in the AWB which just sunset. But at $10k, no way.

The H&K G3 is a tried and true very versatile weapon. I should probably get a scope for my AR-15, it'd be accurate out to any range I'm likely to need it for.

I'm more a fan of SMG's and close quarter battle (CQB) guns. The best of these, IMHO, is the FN P90. Unfortunetly they won't sell them to civilians, and it's illegal to own the bullets for it.

The AK74 isn't really "new", it was introduced in 1974. It uses a caliber similiar to the AR-15/M-16, based on what the Russian observed from that gun during Vietnam. I prefer the larger 7.62 AK47. The "new" AK is the AK103, updated with composite stock to replace the traditional wood.

I think my next gun will be a Benelli M-1014. If you're looking for a shopping list of the other "must have" classes...
